ROLE PROFILE

SOURCE Global is looking for a Test Engineer to join our Sustaining Engineering Team. This role is based in Tempe, AZ. At a glance, this position is responsible for collaborating with other departments to perform root cause analysis and validate reliability of parts and components, within a fast-growing, mission-driven business that is committed to solving the global water crisis.

**In this role, you will: **

  • Collaborate with Q&R, Field and Asset Management to prioritize and analyze and field failures.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recreate field failures.
  • Validate that proposed solutions meet product requirements through extensive reliability testing and documenting results in formal written reports.
  • Work closely with both technicians and test engineers to specify test procedures and perform both quantitative and qualitative assessments to estimate lifetime of components and assemblies.

**They also have… **

  • Experience conducting lifetime testing and accelerated lifetime testing (ALT) of electromechanical components
  • Experience performing corrosion testing with salt spray chamber on both electrical and mechanical components
  • Experience performing “burn in” testing and thermal cycling on both electrical and mechanical components
  • Experience trouble shooting electrical devices such at programmable circuit boards, sensors, wiring harnesses, and connectors

REQUIREMENTS

**Minimum Qualifications **

  • Engineering experience in technology and/or consumer products, demonstrating technical, manufacturable, and commercialized solutions.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on complex electrical and mechanical systems in response to non-conformances and field failures.
  • Experience performing reliability testing on DC electro-mechanical components. Specifically, photovoltaic modules, fans, motors, pumps, solenoids, flow meters, encoders and level sensors

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Reliability Engineer at SOURCE Global, you’ll spend a significant portion of your day working in multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians to determine failure modes and perform Root Cause Analysis of released products. You will design reliability experiments for various components and products and assist in setup and data collection as needed. You will interpret results and document conclusions which will drive both engineering changes and continuous improvements.

The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM. Some weekends may be required when targets are not achieved.
