Job Description:

Lilac is seeking an environmental chemist to analyze lithium brine chemistries and support Lilac’s engineering team. Responsibilities will include ICP-OES analysis of lithium solutions, lab-scale R&D, and maintenance of process equipment. This is a full-time position based in Oakland, California. This person may travel for approximately three months per year to commission and operate lithium extraction plants across the US, South America, and Europe.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree in chemistry, environmental science, or similar
• Practical experience with analytical chemistry
• Knowledge of aqueous and inorganic chemistry
• Highly organized with sharp attention to numerical and scientific detail
