Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive maintenance support to Proterra’s Maintenance Supervisor and other site leadership team members. You will be responsible for providing a full range of technical solutions to client groups at the site and be in an environment where you can have a greater impact. This position will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate with team members located at the manufacturing facility.
About the Role – You Will:
- Assist in development of maintenance related training programs and standardization of documents
- Provide technical insight to other equipment maintenance technicians and be a subject matter expert for the maintenance department
- Effectively communicate equipment status updates to appropriate departments
- Assist planning in the development of PM’s, spare parts inventory, and CMMS integrations
- Perform highly diversified duties concerning the installation and maintenance of production equipment.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs on production equipment
- Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment
- Perform equipment troubleshooting leveraging mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skillsets
- Read / interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance on production equipment
- Have a thorough understanding of machine control logic (PLC) and be able to utilize that understanding in the troubleshooting of equipment and assisting others in troubleshooting activities
- Use a variety of hand / power tools, testing equipment and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas (5S).
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Your Experience Includes:
- Mechatronics Degree and/or 5+ years of experience working with automation assembly lines (i.e., mechanically, electrically or pneumatics)
- PLC experience is preferred (Allen-Bradley is a plus)
- Knowledge of electrical schematic and prints
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Physical Demands:
- May work various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
- Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
- Environmental Demands:
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
- Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
- Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
