Helio gives homeowners the power to make a dramatic impact on their carbon footprint by making it simple to remove fossil fuels from their homes, and in the process, fully electrify their lives.

The Role

• We are an early stage venture backed startup with tremendous early traction. We are building an electrification technology platform that will help guide 100 million homes in the US towards electrification. We are looking for a smart, driven, and collaborative designer to shape the foundation of our customer experience. We believe that great design is a key differentiator for us as a company and is something we want to permeate every aspect of our culture and product.

Responsibilities

• This role plays a critical part in shaping our product direction and the user experience.
• You'll own user research, our design language and systems, and be responsible for designing our product – from major product features, to the interactions that delight customers.
• We're a small team so you'll work with everyone, including our founders on product and our engineers on execution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant design experience at a tech or product-driven company.
• Expertise designing end to end customer experiences.
• Deep empathy for users and a commitment to research and validation.
• Skilled at representing complex concepts, numbers, and graphs in an intuitive and educational way.
• You thrive in an iterative environment and value incorporating real customer usage into design.
• Personal growth is important to you: you have a clear idea of how and where you want to grow, and are excited about being in an environment that enables growth with feedback, opportunities and ownership.
• You’re comfortable with — not just tolerant of — change and uncertainty.
• You operate with transparency.
• You think with scale in mind.
• This role is flexible, we prefer the Denver/Boulder area but will consider remote locations for the right candidate.
