We are searching for a Buyer to join our team @ Linear Labs Inc. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position will work onsite at our facility in Fort Worth, TX. We are seeking a talented professional who can thrive in the dynamic environment of a start-up.
The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing various materials, supplies and/or equipment from an approved vendor list and utilize purchasing requisition information. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the Global supply chain
- Work with management to monitor and maintain proper inventory levels and promptly act on purchasing materials and supplies when inventory is low.
- Issues purchase orders and releases; ensures that suppliers are accountable relative to on time delivery, quantity, quality, and price.
- Follow company purchasing guidelines, effectively monitor purchase orders; maintain orders, pricing, certificates, etc. in system.
- Set up new supplies and work with others in the selection and qualification of identifying new supplies.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery. Advise internal team of changes in delivery dates or of possible alternative sources and recovery plans.
- Evaluate supplier performance and provide key information to management for vendor performance evaluation
- Work heavily within ERP system (NetSuite) performing daily tactical to strategic level activities. Order entry to creating and building workflows, for example.
- Coordinate all material orders for cross functional teams to support all company timelines.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, parts, assets and communicate to management status of inventory.
- Other responsibilities /duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Change Management, Purchasing, or equivalent job experience
- 2+ years of experience; highly prefer recent procurement experience or experience in support of an industrial goods/manufacturing operation
- Prior experience working in an ERP/MRP Environment highly preferred (experience with NetSuite is preferable)
- Strong technical skills including experience with Google Suite
- Experience in ISO9001 environment helpful but not required
- Experience in a start-up organization highly preferred
- Must be detailed oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic startup environment with competing priorities
- Able to change direction and adapt to change easily; must be flexible
- Must be able to “lean in” and take initiative
- Strong work ethic is essential
