We’re seeking an experienced and vigilant Cybersecurity Specialist who can use their technical expertise to ensure that AMPLY’s sensitive data and software remain secure from potential threats. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining systems that protect the mission-critical components of our company. You will be evolving our network defenses, ensuring privacy for data in transit, driving secure architectures, and proactively responding to all threats in our network landscape.

Responsibilities

• Manage security infrastructure (such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), endpoint detection and response (EDR) clients, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems).
• Act as a technical lead for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring software and hardware installations follow industry and institutional best practices.
• Identify our most significant technology opportunities for our corporate and production environments, then work with internal and external teams to plan, design, implement, and deploy new systems to meet them.
• Contribute to our DevOps team, assisting to automate deployment practices and ensuring security best practices are maintained throughout an agile development process.
• Take part in an on-call rotation to ensure our staff all around the country can do their jobs at all times.
• Quickly and effectively triage and resolve support requests utilizing a support ticketing system.
• Provide metrics and reports on team efforts, and strengthen the team's ability to triage and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Manage and support a wide range of end-user technologies such as: printers, email clients, voice over IP phones, network switch port configuration, and audio/visual equip

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology or related field with 8-10 years of related work experience
• Relevant technology experience desired in the following areas: Next Generation Firewalls EDR/XDR, SIEM, SOAR, DLP, Secure Email Gateways, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management
• Highly technical, confident at the operational management level, and comfortable in an engineering-heavy organization.
• Have strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a deep understanding of how to develop relevant metrics that track activity and quantify the impact of security initiatives on AMPLY’s growth and performance.
• Experience maintaining the security of highly sensitive data; understanding big data and technology at scale.
• Ability to build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders to enable their work and to maintain a secure working environment.
• Experience with presenting to Senior Executive Leaders, ability to effectively communicate with a senior audience and convey the health of the security program

AMPLY is redefining the EV charging market for private and public fleets, including autonomous driving fleets, transit bus agencies, municipal, and private fleets. We are building the next level of charging as a service, taking complete ownership and control of the charging infrastructure, the scheduling of the vehicles, the cloud platform, and the utility meter – in order to provide the highest availability and resilience in the market. In this way, we will accelerate the adoption of electric-powered fleets by optimizing the delivery of power and making refueling seamless and efficient. In a high-powered application like vehicle fast charging, the difference between controlled, optimally balanced vs unrestrained EV charging could be 3x in cost from your local utility. Even more importantly, EV fleets, in particular when part of critical and close to real-time business processes (for example in autonomous fleets) need to be scheduled for charging in specific time intervals. By taking control of the utility meter, optimizing EV charge rate and vehicle process flow, AMPLY provides the lowest cost of electric fueling possible in a given depot location or in-route stops. Our approach is to offer charging as a service, which is unique in the industry. We offer our customers a per mile driven usage rate. AMPLY provides the bulk of the upfront capital expenditures associated with the charging platform.
