The Role

This role will work with a multi-discipline team to design and build renewable energy power plant SCADA systems. From the sensors in the field, to the servers in the control house, all the way to the cloud our system touches it all. The Infrastructure Engineer will be the prime person for server selection, installation, virtualization, and configuration and maintenance of OS through the project life cycle. Initial configurations will happen in Terabase OT Engineering Center before being shipped out to customer’s locations. This role will also help in staging other rack mounted hardware for the projects.

We seek a customer-oriented, hands-on self-starter who is analytical and detail-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and a passion to create world-class solutions. This position is based in Perrysburg, Ohio and would require the Engineer to be on premise for hardware setup. This is a hybrid role, and the engineer may work remotely for tasks that can be accomplished remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining operating environments, premises and cloud based.
  • Configuration of IT equipment.
  • Configuring Virtualized environment for SCADA applications.
  • System Admin through project cycle.
  • Provide technical support for networking and server equipment.
  • Generate project documentation including commissioning documents, as-built drawings, IP Lists, operator manuals and training material.
  • Coordinate with field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement/Lessons Learned program.
  • Any other actions required by management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate professionally with team members and business partners.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux configurations and operations. Minimum MCSA cert
  • Experience with Virtualization designs and configurations. Minimum VCTA cert, VCAP preferred
  • Experience with Azure. Minimum Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Experience designing and configuring SAN and NAS technologies
  • Network+ Certification preferred
  • Experience with Domain Controllers.
  • Experience with Identity Management Software.
  • Experience with scripting languages, Bash, Powershell, Python.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Network Protocols. ModbusTCP, DNP3, OPC-UA
  • Working knowledge of NERC-CIP requirements a plus.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.
  • Travel, 10%
