Job Description:

Lilac is seeking a Director of Project Execution to manage installation and commissioning of Lilac’s lithium extraction modules at lithium brine projects across the US, Europe, and South America. This person will interface with Lilac’s design and manufacturing teams to assure operability and quality control. This person will be headquartered in Oakland and will travel extensively across the US, Europe, and South America. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Manage installation and commissioning of Lilac’s lithium extraction modules at project sites
• Transition system through startup to operations teams
• Manage projects, employees, and contractors
• Ensure timelines are met in challenging remote locations
• Provide feedback on product design to engineering and manufacturing teams

Candidate Requirements:

• B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in project execution, installation, and commissioning of plants in mining, metals, chemicals, and/or water treatment
• Effective people and project management skills
• Builds culture through leadership and mentorship
• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
• Excited to work on an ambitious fast-moving startup team
• US work permit
• Spanish language skills preferred
