An Amber Kinetics’ Facility Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, clean, healthy, compliant, & functional work environment at our US Headquarters where we design and build cutting-edge flywheel energy storage systems. You will work with engineers, assemblers, machinists, and office staff to identify and resolve facilities issues as well as coordinating improvements of the facility as necessary. This is a role with a diversity of challenges and opportunities requiring versatility at a fast-paced, hands-on startup.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate facility installations and renovations related to telecom, HVAC, electrical, general construction, security, IT, etc.
• Conduct regular audits and identify, track, and resolve facility issues
• Manage maintenance schedule for onsite equipment, with external coordination when necessary
• Manage utilities relationships for electricity, water, waste management, recycling, security, etc.
• Manage vendor relationships for food/drink services, office supplies, cleaning services, etc.
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
• Coordinate with EHS team to maintain safe working environment
• Develop & maintain facilities budget

Required Skills/Experience:

• 3+ Years as a Facility Manager in an R&D or manufacturing environment
• AS or BS in Business, or Public Administration, or related degree
• Experience with facilities management including building renovation, office design, space allocation, maintenance, security, and safety management.
• Experience with techniques, equipment, and materials used in custodial/janitorial work.
• MS Office with strength in Word and Excel
• Knowledge of contract administration & project management
