Team Overview:

Heliogen is seeking an IT professional who will be a specialist that provides end-user support and tier 2 support for the help desk for laptops, Microsoft 365, and other applications. This position is based out of the corporate headquarters in Pasadena, California, but will include occasional travel to our Long Beach and Lancaster, CA locations. This role will be responsible for hardware and software inventory from procurement to disposal.

  • Creative individual who can run day-to-day administration roles for Microsoft 365 as well as assist various departments
  • Microsoft 365 - Champion the adoption of Microsoft 365 services suited to the company business needs
  • Access - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services, configuring mailboxes and Exchange groups, and resetting passwords
  • Analysis - Participate in gathering and analysis of business requirements for software capabilities. Implement latest technologies and 3rd party software solutions
  • **Control - **Maintain inventory of laptops, other hardware equipment and software licenses. Laptop configuration for new users, plus troubleshooting common software and hardware issues
  • Monitor - Evaluate and communicate to stakeholders the performance of IT services.
  • Support - Manage and monitor Microsoft 365 services and laptop support, both on-site and remote; and provide AV, teleconferencing, and remote meeting technical assistance

What's Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
  • Progressive experience in a technical help desk or a customer service environment
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange 365 and SharePoint administration
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems and laptop configuration
  • Confident communicator with the ability to successfully support end-users by implementing, explaining, and managing new and existing tools with patience and enthusiasm
  • Work with service providers and vendors on integrations and customization project.
  • Experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both public licensed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software tools
  • Employs exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
  • Ability to follow and write technical documentation for end-users and IT Department
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment independently or with team members

Desirable Experience:

  • 3+ years Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Microsoft Certifications a plus
  • Familiar with in Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance Features, including spam and licensing administration
