Role Description

ROLE PROFILE

SOURCE Global is looking for a Restaurant to join our team. This role is based in Tempe, AZ and will report to the VP of Engineering. At a glance, this position is responsible for developing new materials solutions for our hydropanel. The range of materials development projects include identifying the best plastics for injection molded parts, anti-corrosion coatings for aluminum and steel, heat transfer materials selection for condensers, adhesive selection for manufactured components, and development of next generation water absorptive materials. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment with a rapidly evolving product and collaborate effectively with other engineers and technicians to identify and validate materials selection choices.

In this role, you will:

  • Primary Responsibilities:
    1. Work with a team of manufacturing and mechanical engineers in selecting the best materials for our product given cost, manufacturability, and lifetime requirements
    2. Develop and perform tests to evaluate suitability of materials to meet lifetime and water quality targets
    3. Independently collect data and perform data analysis to support recommendations for materials selection
    4. Work with supply chain to establish cost of materials and identify best suppliers of raw materials
    5. Develop novel materials for water absorption and desorption that are manufacturable and cost effective
    6. Perform material failure analysis studies and make recommendations for improving component lifetimes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Work with a team of manufacturing and mechanical engineers in selecting the best materials for our product given cost, manufacturability, and lifetime requirements

The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM**.** Some overtime and weekends may be required when targets are not achieved.
