We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. The Role

The Operations & Delivery Manager, reporting to the VP, Construction Technology, is responsible for the successful deployment of Terabases Construction Management platform (named Terabase Construct), associated drones and IoT sensors, and for the successful execution of all related services. She/he will develop a team of Operations Coordinators and Data Analysts. The Operations & Delivery Manager will play an instrumental role in scaling Terabase Construct and driving the profitability of this product. She/he will closely coordinate with our Product Management, R&D, Engineering and Back-Office teams. These interfaces will be key to ensure a smooth, scalable, and profitable deployment of the Terabase Construct platform.

Responsibilities

  • Digital, drone and IoT operations:

    • Oversee customer engagements, from booking to delivery, demonstrating operational excellence resulting in delighted customers
    • Coordinate with customers and contractors to understand logistics and scheduling constraints in order to support efficient and safe project execution
    • Project manage field operations for data collection, solving / escalating issues that arise, while proactively communicating with, and setting customer expectations
    • Work with Operations Coordinators to develop detailed project plans with the goal of providing an excellent customer experience while maintaining margins
    • Managing and growing a network of international drone and IoT service providers, ensuring both commercial and service alignment with Terabases requirements.
  • Team development and management:

    • Define and implement a plan to develop the operations team in line with Terabases fast growing business
    • Grow a team of Operations Coordinators and Data Analysts in the US and in the Philippines
    • Coordinate efforts in the following areas: hiring/recruiting, onboarding discussions, workforce planning, and performance management, coaching, development, and support of the Operations Coordinators and Data Analysts
  • Process improvement:

    • Create and improve policies and procedures that optimize the customer experience
    • Identify and address gaps in processes and procedures, resulting in improved, streamlined workflows
    • Identify and address regional specific constraints regarding personnel scheduling, data quality control, maintenance, field troubleshooting, and safety
    • Collaborate with other departments on operational requirements needed to meet customer deliverables and departmental priorities
  • Product development:

    • Coordinate internal resources (Product, R&D, Engineering, Sales) on behalf of our customers interests to achieve their desired business outcomes
    • Maintain a complete understanding of our products and services
    • Identify and promote changes in Terabases technology stack to increase operational efficiency
  • Customer Success:

    • Serve as the face of Terabase with our customers and manage the client experience throughout the life of the engagement
    • Work in partnership with the sales team to provide expanded services and support organic growth within existing accounts
    • Act as a voice of the customer by representing their perspectives and interests in areas such as product roadmap, technical support, quality, etc.
  • Reporting to management / KPIs

    • Monitor and track performance for each project according to key operational efficiency and customer success metrics
    • Collaborate with the team on goal setting, and the development & management of departmental objectives and key results
    • Track activity and maintain accurate records in applicable CRM and ERP systems

Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to work remotely and as part of a distributed team
  • Bachelors/Masters in a technical field such as Engineering, IT or in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in project management, business process development, software development in the IoT field
  • Experience in managing large accounts and ensuring customers satisfactions
  • Strong relationship management skills, customer oriented and excellent communication skills
  • Create solutions and solve problems; take responsibility; drive resolution
  • Ability to think technically and manage both details and high-level goals
  • Able to direct and coordinate effectively with a partially remote workforce
  • Able to travel for short-term engagements, approximately 30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of UAV operations and regulations
  • Project management certifications (PMP/Prince/Agile) is considered an asset
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry
