Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive project management support to the Proterra Field Service organization. You will be responsible for leading an industry best Field Service Campaign team while working cross-functionally in all aspects to ensure the highest customer satisfaction. This position will manage service campaign execution, key customer projects, tools, training, safety and other resources necessary for the team to maintain and support all models of customer vehicles, charges and batteries.
About the Role – You will:
- Manage and lead the service campaign technician team
- Measure the team’s success through metrics and KPIs.
- Manage complex service projects for key accounts
- Manage team to ensure consistent and professional customer communications from all team members, including use of work order tracking tools.
- Ensure team understands and follows the path to escalation and resolution for any customer issues. Manage scheduling of service campaign team members to ensure timely completion of customer or Proterra required work.
- Ensure team members understand team performance goals and lead the team to achieve them.
- Work’s cross functionally with Proterra engineering, parts, and vendors to ensure timely completion of assigned projects
- Interact with customer and be the face of Proterra to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Ensure team members have the appropriate tools, training, support documents and reference guides needed to ensure customer are able to efficiently utilize their products.

- This position will be part of the Greenville based Customer Service team that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations.
- You will report to the Director of Field Service- West and collaborate with other Customer Service team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, CA.
About You:
- Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of all administrative duties. Too include documenting project and asset status
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, establish trust and credibility, and act with complete integrity.

- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Your Experience Includes:
- 10+ years’ experience with field service or direct customer service
- At least 5 years of experience leading and training others.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects
- Transit, heavy vehicle or other transferable experience
- Hands-on experience managing technicians
- Working knowledge with manufacturing processes and suppliers
- Strong experience with MS Office Applications, especially Excel
You might also have:
- Experience with electric buses and chargers
**Location: **Greenville, SC (home location but will support specified region for their reporting Field Service Technicians and Representatives)
**Travel: **Up to 50% of the time to our various customer sites throughout North America.
