Requirements

The right candidate will bring experience in these areas:

  • Plant Startup: We seek an individual who has directly managed a production team during the successful launch of a production facility or production lines as a production supervisor. Experience in material processing, physical goods and commodity manufacturing is required.
  • Procedure Development and Training: The ideal candidate will have previous successful experience writing procedures and training employees in those procedures.
  • Hands on DNA: This is a working supervisory role; working with the team on the floor will come naturally to the candidate. We want a production supervisor that will get their hands dirty to make and test the product and keep the production line running. This individual will be helping us build the plant, but also will step up a level and help oversee engineering efforts required to scale up the plant and contribute to the design of future plants.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Safety and Quality experience
  • 2+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice-To-Have Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, with engineering being most preferred. Appropriate combinations of relevant experience and educational background will be considered.
  • 5+ years of supervisor experience with 2 or more in continuous operations, insulation, pulp & paper and/or building products industries
  • CleanTech and/or other venture experience

We are seeking an individual with these personal attributes:

Team Building: We believe in the dignity and respect of all employees. We’re looking for an individual who emulates this and leads by example, makes and keeps commitments and gets things done. We’re looking for someone who will challenge their team to do the same, both coaching team members and holding them accountable for their safety, productivity and effect on quality. We need a leader to find and develop the capabilities of the right team, while rapidly culling out under-performers.

Customer Focus: We need to drive a fanatical devotion to our customers throughout our team, ensuring that every delivery is made on time, and that our product maintains the highest quality standards. We need a leader who will challenge their team to do the right thing for the customer, even when it is not easy or convenient.

Hands-On Worker/Leader: We are a small company and you will be expected to handle the day-to-day challenges of producing product while building a business. You will get things done with and through your team. As we grow, we’re looking for someone to work with and alongside our team – not a “manager/administrator”, but a “worker/leader” who acts to solve problems, communicates effectively, and leads by example.
A Master of Daily Execution: We are seeking a leader capable of rigorously ensuring safety of all team members every day, while ensuring efficient, compliant operations, and high-quality production. CleanFiber’s Production Supervisor(s) must be able to confidently achieve and report out on daily, weekly and monthly goals.

Enjoys the Work and Sees the Vision: We are seeking a candidate who wants to be on the floor in a manufacturing environment and an integral part of building a successful company from the ground up. You will join CleanFiber not only for your career and income, but for the adventure of building a business, changing the building materials industry, and improving the lives of our employees and customers. You will feel success when the team and our customers are successful.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment due to race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.

About CleanFiber:

CleanFiber makes high performance cellulose building insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard boxes, using a unique and patented process. CleanFiber’s proven technology and accelerating business is poised to disrupt a fast-growing segment of the building insulation market, while rapidly building a highly-profitable business.

Cellulose insulation wins customers from fiberglass because of greater energy efficiency, and from foam because of its much lower price point. With successful execution at our first facility, we believe we are well-positioned to rapidly seize market share on a national scale. We are a game changer!

CleanFiber
 at a glance

CleanFiber™ makes high-performance cellulose insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard boxes and other clean sources of high quality fiber. The company was formerly known as Ultracell Insulation and was founded by veteran cellulose installers, who wanted to see this industry thrive despite declining supplies of old newsprint (which is the primary feedstock of the industry today).
