Team Overview:

As a Project Finance Analyst on the Commercial Operations team, you will work with members of the commercial, engineering, and manufacturing teams to analyze and forecast the economics of potential and contracted projects. You will support efforts to appropriately size projects for customer needs, contribute to internal and external project proposals, and assist in contract execution for Heliogen’s clean energy projects.

**You Aspire To: **

• Evaluate New Opportunities: Work closely with current and potential customers to identify new markets and project opportunities. Evaluate economics and then assist in identifying parameters for project development negotiations.
• Perform Project Analysis: Develop and build project financial models with multiple types of capital structures, regulatory/legal requirements, and tax regimes to evaluate project investment scenarios. Assist in creatively structuring projects for new developers.
• Coordinate Transactions: Assist with the origination, negotiation and closing of project finance transactions, including term sheet development and negotiation, as well as assisting in due diligence processes.

What's Essential:

• 4+ years of project financial modeling experience in the energy sector and general corporate/project finance knowledge
• Ability to understand international markets and model projects based on foreign tax structures and policies
• Deep understanding of the energy industry and renewable generating assets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong experience in Office suite preferable
• Organized, diligent, able to track multiple streams of information and multi-task
• Ability to work with a small team in a fast-paced environment and the capability to learn new technical skills quickly

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of energy commodity markets
• Bloomberg terminal experience
• Programming experience such as Python, SQL/NoSQL database programs, Git, and Jupyter notebooks
• Data analysis skills including statistics and probability
