The Role:

We are seeking a Senior GL Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting to the Controller and responsible for financial reporting, owning key areas of the general ledger, account reconciliations and supporting other functions within the accounting department. This position will play an active role in the financial close process and preparation of month-end journal entries which includes various expense accruals, build-out of new processes and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting functions as assigned, such as recording, reconciling, and analyzing accounting transactions under adherence to US GAAP
  • Be primary contact for International Subsidiaries. Work closely with the teams to record monthly activities, perform reconciliations and bridge the gap between Oracle and their internal financial systems.
  • Own accruals for assigned key P&L areas
  • Build lead schedules and reconciliations for GL accounts
  • Ability to develop, drive, implement and execute process improvements to help streamline the month-end and quarter-end close process
  • Assist with the annual audit process including both the readiness and execution, including preparation of supporting audit schedules
  • Help with and/or complete ad hoc projects as requested. Research issues, document processes to strengthen internal controls, assist with special projects, Audit requests, etc
  • Serve as a back-up on month-end duties assigned to other team members.
  • As necessary, contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned and perform independent and objective project analysis to support management with the decision-making process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields with 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Inter-company and consolidations experience, including understanding of eliminations and FX gain or loss also a must
  • CPA and public accounting experience including familiarity with the quarter-end close process is a plus
  • Experience building new processes from scratch with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in a high growth, fast-paced startup environment is highly preferred with expert ability to switch between competing initiatives as needed
  • Eager to take on new tasks and projects
  • Strong written, oral communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to keep the big picture in mind
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud, FloQast and financial reporting models a plus.
