Summary of Role

The Site Improvement Services Director will manage a mixed team of department leads and project managers responsible for the quoting, coordination, and execution of all pre-construction work required for the deployment of PV and Storage products. This will include Roofing, Electrical Work, Trenching, and Structural/Carpentry work.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage working queues for re-roofs, electrical upgrades, trenching, and structural work, to ensure quotes, coordination and execution are completed in a timely manner, supporting and accelerating Palmetto’s revenue goals. This role will also be responsible for financial reconciliation of all project “adders”, developing best practices for the execution of this work dependent on market conditions, and partnering with the Growth & Build team to ensure the Build Partner network supports Palmetto growth and operational KPI targets. This position will report to VP, Operations Services.

Strategic/Tactical Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage Palmetto site improvement throughput pipelines and analytics to support best-in-industry install and PTO timelines.
  • Implementation and standardization of new processes and refinement of existing processes to improve and support site improvement project throughput.
  • Develop and manage standard operating procedures that will support high-velocity scale and replicable workflows across national markets.
  • Understanding and developing region and state-specific SOPs where necessary to account for nuances in the regulatory, construction, and housing market landscapes.
  • Work with the Project Engineering team on developing call-out processes to accurately identify site improvements and reduce late-stage change orders.
  • Work with the Growth & Build Partner Acquisition team to source and engage in contractor partnerships to support necessary market services.
  • Work with the Growth & Build Partner Acquisition team to ensure Service and Build Partner KPI attainment and resolve pricing and quality concerns.
  • Work with the Technology team to implement self-service workflows to increase team efficiency and limit administrative tasks as well as reduce and remove sales members and customer friction.
  • Work with the Technology team to refine POS best practices, including adders in original pricing whenever relevant and reducing pre-construction-driven change orders.
  • Work with the Technology team to develop and refine quoting tools and methodologies that will allow accelerated timelines and throughput for all projects requiring site service work.
  • Work with CX leadership and Business Development teams to ensure customer and sales member communication around adder inclusion and site improvement coordination is flawless.
  • Work with the Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely financial reconciliation for all pricing adders, the inclusion of pricing in customer finance, and accurate reflection in commission remittance reporting and payout.
  • Work with the Growth/BPA and Business Development teams to improve contractor and sales group engagement and satisfaction levels.
  • Work with the regional General Managers to ensure and enforce standards and KPI/SLA attainment
  • Work with the regional General Managers & Build team to reach contribution margin targets
  • Develop and present reporting and Executive summaries detailing strategies, initiatives, cost targets, and service levels as required.

Required Background and Skills

  • Minimum 6 years of operational leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of process improvement and leadership capability.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and work with relevant teams on technological improvements.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
