Role Description

**Team Overview: **

Our software engineers come from a wide variety of backgrounds, with a mix of hardware and software experience. The software we create  enables precise control and autonomous maintenance of heliostats, as well as compute, network, and storage infrastructure to keep everything running smoothly.

**You Aspire To: **

  • Develop code in one or more of the following languages: C#, C++, Python, and/or MATLAB
  • Integrate with a broad range of hardware, including sensors and actuators, data acquisition systems, networking equipment, and GPUs
  • Develop unit and integration tests for complex software/hardware systems
  • Establish tools and processes for building, testing, and deploying high-reliability software

What's Essential:

  • A strong desire to use your software skills to advance Heliogen’s mission to replace fossil fuels
  • Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software development and test
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Desirable Experience:

  • GitLab or Atlassian tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Release of production-quality software to market
  • Image processing and computer vision
  • Robotic and autonomous systems
  • Strong project management skills
  • Collaboration across internal teams and external partners
