Team Overview:

Heliogen is seeking a Network Engineer who will operate and maintain the networks and inter-connectivity for a multi-location office environment, in addition to supporting remote workers and remote access. This position will also manage and maintain cloud services, server technologies, back-office applications, system stability and availability, security and protection of data and systems and telephony services. The position will be based out of the manufacturing facility in Long Beach, California, but will include occasional travel to our Pasadena and Lancaster, CA locations.

• Access – Configure and maintain corporate firewall and VPN access for three offices and remote workers.
• Security – Enforce industry-best practices for IT security and infrastructure architectural design
• Support – Ensure network connectivity with cloud and back-office technologies, principally on a Windows platform

What's Essential:

• 4+ years relevant experience in a fast-paced corporate setting
• Knowledge of storage technology, both local and hosted, including design, implementation, and maintenance
• Knowledge of Linux, including system design, configuration, maintenance, upgrade and administration.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016 and newer
• Experience with virtual machine provisioning/management/monitoring, particularly MS Hyper-V
• Configuring, managing, securing, and troubleshooting active directory organizational units and group policy
• Configuring, securing, and troubleshooting remote access
• Employs exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment independently or with team members

Desirable Experience:

• Background in Microsoft Active Directory/Azure AD/ADFS
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365
