About the Role – You will:
- Develop a deep knowledge of our products.
- Deliver technical training onsite at customer locations; engage with vendors to prepare and deliver appropriate vendor training directly to our customers.
- Devise training programs that prepare students of all levels of incoming ability; create new, engaging training material in various forms (classroom, hands-on, eLearning, remote, learning videos); develop and produce training videos for use internally and externally.
- Manage the complete training process: understand contractual requirements, schedule training with customers, prepare materials, deliver training and follow-up.
- Observe and evaluate results of training programs; determine overall effectiveness of programs and make improvements.
- Understand new training needs based on review of new products or new customers; interact with subject matter experts to ensure quality and accuracy of new material.

- This position will be part of the Greenville based Customer Service team that supports Proterra’s Manufacturing and Engineering operations in Greenville, SC.
- You will report to the Site Senior Director of Customer Service and collaborate with other Customer Service team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facility in Los Angeles, CA.

Your Experience Includes:
- 10+ years of proven technical experience.
- Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of proven technical training.
- Certification such as CTT+ (Certified Technical Trainer)
- Knowledge of modern training techniques, tools, and instructional systems design methods.
- Intermediate level skills with MS Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and webinar/e-learning applications (i.e. Adobe Captivate or similar products).
- Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting; strong technical aptitude.
- Physical demands include but not limited to: lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, working from ladders and walking.
- Environmental demands may include: extreme temperatures (cold/heat), confined quarters, excessive noise and high voltage.
You might also have:
- Commercial Driver’s License or ability to obtain
- ASE certification
**Location: **Greenville, SC (based at this location; initial training will occur here and at other locations)
**Travel: **15% including local travel between facilities; occasionally out to CA to our Burlingame and City of Industry facilities.
