Role Description

Position Overview

The Treasury and Tax leader is responsible for leading the company’s treasury and tax functions. This position will have oversight of key functions of the treasury department including day-to-day treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and future international finance areas. The treasurer will own the enterprise-wide risk policy and standards and establishing the framework for sizing liquidity requirements including internal stress testing, in conjunction with other stakeholders providing support for liquidity oversight at both the legal entity and enterprise consolidated levels. The treasurer lead negotiations for all major debt financings and co-manage banking and rating agency relationships with the CFO. The position is responsible for all financial modeling which is the basis for capital policy and structuring decisions. The treasurer will have day-to-day responsibility for corporate banking management including oversight of banks fees and services. This position will also be responsible for oversight of all tax matters, including global tax planning, forecasting, compliance, international, Federal, state & local tax returns and provisions, transfer pricing, sales tax/VAT filings, audit defense, and the related public company tax disclosures and ICOFR compliance. This role reports to the CFO.

About the Role – You Will:

  • Manage cash balances to ensure that funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements.
  • Ensure required debt service payments are made on a timely basis and debt covenants are met.
  • Manage monthly debt withdrawals and repayments.
  • Preparation of support for audits and the responses to any follow-up requests and analyses.
  • Manages all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivables department as well as overseeing the processes of cash and debt management, including company credit cards
  • Maintains communication with Project Managers to provide insight on the project’s financial results.
  • Reviews and approves accounts payable journal entries and other financial activity prepared by accounting team.
  • Maintains communications with project investors and owners’ group as well as external contractors, and government agencies.
  • Maintain banking relationships.
  • Participate in managing liquidity, funding and risk across the asset and liability sides of the balance sheet. Engage in the appropriate establishment and monitoring of credit, balance sheet, liquidity, FX and interest rate limits.
  • Actively manage the overall enterprise-wide balance sheet and capital structure in order to achieve liquidity, balance sheet and capital metrics and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards where appropriate.
  • Oversee accounting for income taxes and tax disclosure in SEC filings.
  • Evaluate current tax reserve and future requirements.
  • Review and approve any tax related account reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement the Federal, state/local, international and any other tax planning strategies and direct tactical efforts to maximize financial statement tax benefits, increase after tax cash flows, and mitigate tax exposures.
  • Define and implement a tax-efficient business structures, transfer pricing, R&D and manufacturing credits, and compliance reporting associated with existing tax incentive.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

About You

Your Experience Includes

  • 15+ years of experience in treasury, risk management and tax within a fast-growing technology company.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Risk Management
  • MBA and CPA Preferred.
  • Prior experience with and knowledge of treasury products, interest rate risk / ALM management.
  • Strong Credit Risk Management experience.
  • Knowledge of balance sheet management, capital markets and banking products and financial systems.
  • Demonstrated timely decision-making and communications on complex accounting issues
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections in accordance with GAAP
  • Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of credit risk management, FX and interest rate risk management
  • Strong communicator capable of interacting with multiple stakeholders including senior management, the Board and regulators
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
  • Personable, highly ethical and thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Experience concisely presenting complex materials to senior executives to drive effective decision making
  • Track record of successfully building teams and processes from the ground up; coaching and mentoring at all levels
  • Manufacturing and/or automotive experience - Preferred
  • Oracle experience - Preferred
