Job Description:

Lilac is seeking a VP of Operations to manage operations for the company's Brine Technology Division. This division is currently supporting projects across a variety of sites globally with services spanning innovation, engineering, fabrication, and operations. These sites are primarily located across the Western US and South America. The division includes the company's core ion exchange process group as well as ancillary technology groups supporting lithium production from brine resources. This role reports to Lilac's CEO.

This individual will be responsible for assuring execution of complex multinational equipment supply agreements on schedule and on budget in collaboration with engineering managers. The scope of operations will include equipment design, supply chain, procurement, fabrication, installation, logistics, and support for commissioning teams. The role will include building corporate structure, managing people, engaging stakeholders, and executing projects.

Candidate Requirements:

• Background in engineering (chemical, mechanical, civil, etc.)
• 15+ years in a corporate or operations role supporting chemicals, metals, and/or mining projects
• Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
• Experience with management of complex contracts
• Experience operating in the US and internationally
• Committed to sustainability, diversity, and inclusion
• Ambition to succeed in a fast-paced startup company environment
• US work authorization
• Spanish preferred
