Role Description

We are looking for an Applications Engineer who will play a key role in our organization by being the bridge between LineVision’s technical teams and our customers’ technical teams. The energy space we occupy is transforming in a way that will reshape the energy industry. We need a dynamic, experienced professional who can communicate advanced technical concepts that lay the foundation for global expansion.

What will you do?

**Be the Subject Matter Expert **

  • ·Be a technical expert on LineVision’s technology and applications
  • Provide leadership in pre-sales functions to enable efficient, data-driven assessments
  • Work closely with all LineVision technical teams as the voice of the customer to enhance our product offerings
    Communicate our Capabilities to Customers
  • Interface with customers to answer their questions and solve technical problems
  • Partner with customers’ technical buyers to understand technical requirements, collect project details, and develop solutions/proposalsEnable the sales team to exceed targets; position LineVision as the world-leader in overhead line monitoring
  • Deliver expert presentations about LineVision’s technology and methodologies
  • Prepare written documentation required for customer presentations, RFP responses, and other documents

**Advance the Market’s Understanding of LineVision’s Capabilities **
**Enhance LineVision’s technical leadership and credibility **through participation in industry technical forums (CIGRE, IEEE), presentations at industry events, and writing white papers

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Experience working with electric power (transmission/distribution, renewables, etc.)
  • Experience with transmission line ratings, planning, and/or operations with utilities would be ideal
  • Advanced Analytical degree (Engineering, Comp Sci, Physics, Math, Economics, etc.)
  • Experience interacting and communicating directly with customers
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required, including international locations
  • Highly organized. Meet project deadlines, carefully prepare for every customer engagement, and submit flawless work products to internal stakeholders and customers
  • Outstanding remote-team and client/partner collaboration and communication skills
  • Passion for improving the efficiency and reliability of the grid
