Lilac is seeking a chemical engineer with experience to participate in process engineering studies and detailed engineering for commercial scale lithium brine extraction projects. The specific area of focus for the candidate will be the generation/regeneration of acid-base reagents through chloralkali, electrodialysis (ED) or bipolar electrodialysis (BPED). Responsibilities will include analyzing the mass and energy balances of the reagent generation for the processing facility in relation to Lilac’s DLE Technology. The candidate will analyze and develop acid-base production rates, yield, energy efficiency, water efficiency, impurity management and for various configurations of the overall flowsheet. Periodic travel will be required to the Oakland, California technical and fabrication teams, EPCM engineering contractor location and project sites. This is a full-time position.
