The Productization group seeks to develop innovative new manufacturing processes and automation tools to establish Twelve as a world leader in carbon transformation. It is composed of several different teams focused on different aspects of engineering, manufacturing, new product introduction, and customer deployments of our CO2 conversion systems.

Job Brief

The Director of Product Development is responsible for establishing the vision and direction for the product development team and working cross-functionally to ensure successful product development transfer into production. You will set the tone for a collaborative environment that values equity of voice, inclusive behaviors and trusting teams. You will lead a team of product development engineers and managers to introduce new products from concept to production ramp including prototype builds in working with R&D and manufacturing.

What You Will Do

• Build, lead and ensure engineering teams have capability to meet or exceed engineering standards relative to CO2 reactor attributes: Leading the design, specification of the reactor to meet the application requirements.
• Leading the cross functional team, engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, and quality, etc.
• Leading and owning the product development process at Twelve
• Responsible for driving CO2 reactor system integration decisions for the manufacturing lines with respect to Packaging, Integration, Prototypes and Fabrication
• Responsible for all phases of CO2 reactor product development including certifications, current production, and life-cycle management.
• Own the product roadmap for CO2 reactors at Twelve
• Provide coaching, mentoring, nurturing and establish growth and development opportunities for staff

Who You Are

• 10+ years of experience in managing industrial product development and integration departments
• Experience as an engineer in automotive, aerospace, or other relevant product area
• Experience managing multiple projects as a relevant engineering leader with direct experience
• The strong technical aptitude necessary to drive all aspects of CO2 Reactor development of a high technology product
• Experience with new product introduction tools like house of quality [HOQ], Kano model, VAVE, etc.
• Experience program managing high dollar value products/product development
• Experience working closely with all functions of an enterprise (Finance, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Industrial Design, etc) to manage the commercial product development life cycle
• Excellent communication (written, spoken) at all levels of the enterprise
• Best in class cross-functional interaction skills and a history of driving teams to perform to highly demanding schedules/challenges
• Ability to coordinate the actions of a large multifaceted organization. A deep understanding of the multiple phases of a large program, how to measure performance in those stages, communicating those to Leadership and staff at large
• Ability to travel as needed
