What we are looking for:

Stem’s product management team drives the roadmap and execution of Stem’s technology. Successful product managers at Stem are entrepreneurial, flexible, enthusiastic team leaders who constantly strive to learn from others.

Stem is at the cutting edge of the energy storage industry, continuously pressing new ways to monetize distributed energy assets. We are looking for a Senior Director-level product leader to advance our e-Mobility product vision and strategy. This job requires close collaboration and partnership with customers, sales, operations, and the rest of the product leadership team to ensure that the e-Mobility roadmap is fine-tuned to enhance Stem’s business objectives. The Director will work closely with Stem’s engineering and data science teams to deliver new capabilities in the e-Mobility product stream.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive e-Mobility strategy, product vision, and requirements, validating direction regularly with internal teams, partners, and customers
  • Maintain a roadmap for e-Mobility enabled by machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to ensure Athena delivers AI-automated energy operations supporting e-Mobility
  • Define user experiences for end customers and go-to-market partners, as well as tooling required to successfully operate Stem’s fleet as we add EV charging to complex multi-DER sites
  • Generate strategic roadmaps and OKRs which extend Stem’s competitive advantage and address marketplace trajectories
  • Represent Stem’s offerings and capabilities in customer settings, trade venues, other industry forums

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in product management, delivering industry-leading software solutions
  • 5+ years' e-Mobility domain experience with demonstrated understanding of power industry, renewable energy, fleet electrification, and electric vehicle markets
  • Demonstrated ability to seek and understand customer needs, and develop competitive plans
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering SaaS and/or software-enabled products from ideation through launch
  • Deep knowledge of transportation electrification trends and fleet management applications
  • Knowledge of current market trends in commercial/industrial energy solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to drive agreement among multi-functional teams, both with and without direct authority
  • Ability to communicate clearly with many stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering
  • Master’s degree in Science or Business
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple functional areas, including engineering, sales, customer operations, finance, and marketing
  • History of building relationships and successful collaborations with partners
  • History of setting and achieving strategic goals using research and data
  • Experience with agile practices
  • Experience working with software teams using cloud technologies
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Deep Experience with JIRA, Confluence
