Job Description:

Lilac is looking for a drilling supervisor to oversee drilling operations on Lilac’s operated assets in Argentina. This includes the drilling of up to 10+ lithium wells in 2022. As the company’s representative, the selected candidate will be responsible for well design decisions, program planning, oversight of drilling contractors, and execution of rig operations. Being able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and management is critical. A strong candidate will have a particular focus on safety, environmental, and cost awareness in line with Lilac’s core business objectives. The candidate is expected to be on-site during all key drilling activities.

Location: Argentina or Chile

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven management track record including at least 10 years of experience in drilling operations, 5 years in a drilling supervisory role
• Experience in drilling Lithium, oil & gas wells (e.g. Vaca Muerta, Conventional reservoirs), or similar
• Passion for HSE, including desire to assist training of personnel on the rig, and to encourage a natural safety culture
• Good experience interfacing with field operations teams daily
• Willingness to work in office and on-site environments (up to 28 consecutive days for on-site work)
• Experience working on remote projects
• South American experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and written skills in Spanish.
• Verbal and written skills in English (medium level)
