The Field Program Manager is responsible for executing and delivering results from the Loam R&D program, incorporating aspects of product validation and product research. This includes delivering the US field trial program for Loam’s biological products. The role also includes the management and support of associates to ensure their success in the organization.
- Coordinating and delivering the Loam field trial program, including contracting of multiple CROs
- Developing field trial designs aligned with the Loam data management system
- Development of protocols for field sampling, data collection and management
- Treatment provision to CROs, including development of SOPs for treatments
- Carrying out on-site visits to field trial locations for observations throughout the season
- Providing quality assessments of field data and actively working to improve data quality
- Working closely with data management leaders and statisticians to ensure integrity of results
- Providing real-time feedback on data and observations to the wider product sciences team
- Supporting and managing associates as necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years work experience conducting large scale agronomic research trial program
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Sciences, or Agriculture.
- Management experience and the ability to effectively manage a high-performing team
- Deep agronomic experience with common cropping species
- Knowledge of plant growth requirements, including water requirements, plant nutrition, plant health and pest control
- Meticulous in approach to executing experimental design and data collection.
- Ability to effectively plan timelines and budgets and deliver within deadlines.
- Deep understanding of OH&S, safety and handling of chemical and biological materials.
