Zap Energy is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Technical Project Manager with detailed knowledge and experience with agile innovation project management tools (Jira/Confluence), implementation and execution. Successful candidate will report to the System Engineering department.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support and oversee parts of the larger project and are primarily responsible for the related tasks and tracking functions that maintain project momentum
- Lead and participate in the implementation of agile methodology tool Jira and Confluence; teach, mentor, coach and facilitate the lean-agile mindset
- Responsibilities include JIRA administration, adding Projects, Users, workflow, reports, permission schemes and troubleshooting
- Facilitate and support the creation of the project charter and examine project related technical documentation for completeness and latest versions and insure availability and distribution to all project team members
- Understand delivery impediments, issues, risks, and changes associated with the product development initiatives; works with responsible owners to address the items on a timely basis; updates the appropriate stakeholders as needed
- Managing, delivering, and presenting project status, timelines, and schedules
- Tracking dependencies and mitigating risks
- Escalate issues early and provide concise issue descriptions to upper-level management coupled with recommended paths for resolution
- Provide recommendations of lessons learned for improvements in process and procedure both within the PM structure as well as across groups
- Provide ideas for using JIRA more efficiently to meet business needs and analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Education : B.S. in Mechanical, Civil, Systems or relevant engineering discipline a plus
- PMP and/or CSM certification a plus
- Years of experience: 3 – 5+ years
- Excellent verbal, written and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Waterfall)
- Demonstrated experience in Jira, Confluence and/other Atlassian products as user as well as front end administrator.
- Experience in a broad range of topics throughout a product lifecycle, including conceptual design, final design, construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning
