Going beyond the existing plant-based burgers, we are developing alternative meat whole-cuts – think steaks and chicken breasts – using innovations in manufacturing, materials science, and biotechnology. This will transform how the world consumes meat and protein. Spun out of Harvard University in 2020, Tender is actively recruiting our core team.

We are hiring a **Head of Growth/Marketing **that will help us create the narrative for this entirely new category in the meat aisle. In this key role, you will help Tender achieve exponential growth by crafting our brand and driving our marketing efforts. This role will interact with key internal partners to create content, plan events and product launches, and report on current social trends. This role will also identify and interact with Tender Food’s core audience while helping to attract and engage new ones.

About You

• You have 8+ years of experience building and nurturing brands, defining product launch strategies, and creating content for health, wellness or CPG, ideally in both retail and direct to consumer.
• You have grown brands, products or business strategies from 0 to scale.
• You are passionate about creating better food for the planet, for our health and animals.
• You follow all the latest trends in food and consumer products and understand what drives consumer interest.
• You are an amazing storyteller, writer, and presenter.
• You’re a highly creative designer, content creator and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven and rely on data to make decisions.
• You have demonstrated experience with digital campaign design and execution.
• You are excited about joining an early-stage food technology startup, where you will have significant autonomy and responsibility.
• You have a passion to change the world for the better. You are not just looking to cash a paycheck – what you do for work matters to you deeply.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be responsible to manage P/L and help the company achieve exponential growth.
• You’ll work directly with the CEO and leadership to translate Tender’s vision and mission into brand positioning, messaging, visual identity, communications, and narrative that resonates with the market and our consumers.
• You’ll design, build, and manage a team to implement our brand, marketing and go-to-market strategies.
• You’ll oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital and traditional media outlets, for brand development, product launches, consumer education, recruitment, and investor relations.
• You’ll handle our PR and marketing agencies.
• You’ll help bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design and storytelling.
• You’ll move quickly to compose content ideas that are original, relatable, fun, informational, and on brand and based upon trends.
• You’ll establish OKRs, KPIs, and systems to track your objectives and growth.
