About Evergrow

At Evergrow, we seek to build and sustain a carbon-neutral world. We plan to do so by unlocking solutions which reduce 1 gigaton of CO2e by 2030, scaling to 1 gigaton per year every year thereafter.

Specifically, we are developing a suite of products and services for decarbonization project developers. We are starting with a financial product that shields developers from carbon credit price volatility, helping them access the capital needed to get their projects off the ground. We will be quickly expanding this suite of products and services so that we can become the ultimate support system for decarbonization developers.

About this Role

Our ambition is to build the trusted brand for carbon. As the first Head of Marketing at Evergrow, you will conceive, develop, and drive our marketing and brand strategy, working closely with our CEO and leadership team. You will bring experience in building a brand as well as well as prior experience at a venture-backed company, ideally in the climate space and / or fintech. You will have significant freedom to define what marketing means at Evergrow. Ideally, you have a track record of going from zero to one with marketing, and are comfortable across brand marketing, product marketing, and demand generation / B2B marketing. Additionally, you ideally bring expertise in energy, climate, and decarbonization, given the complexity of these topics and our desire to simplify them for our customers and partners.

You will be responsible for ...

- Developing Evergrow's brand and marketing strategy from scratch, including market positioning, brand story and narrative, and more
- Creating brand and product marketing collateral for relevant audiences, including customers, referral and channel partners, capital partners, and candidates
- Designing and implementing our "marketing stack" of software and other tools
- Owning the development and maintenance of our brand and website assets
- Selecting relevant third-party vendors to assist with marketing and PR efforts, and
- Tracking and reporting on marketing campaign results

This might be for you if you have...

- 6+ years of professional experience in marketing, particularly as related to climate or decarbonization
- Experience managing or leading a marketing team at a high-growth startup
- Demonstrated expertise in building and developing strategy for emerging or new brands, especially in niche/B2B areas or fintech
- Ability to _execute_ on strategy, in addition to developing it - you can create and launch campaigns, deploy messaging, and conduct research needed to implement strategy
- Proven strategic thinker and innovative communications leader with an ability to lead the development of programs that are distinctive, relevant, creative, measurable and aligned to the strategic direction of the business
- Strong project management skills and experience leading across functions to achieve common goals
- A strong, demonstrated desire to work on climate

Is this role only full-time? Can I work remotely?

This role is full-time and based on-site in San Francisco. We're a small, tight-knit team right now and prefer to work all in one place for now so we can go faster, build trust, and solve complex problems together. That being said, we know life happens, so we've reserved one day a week to work from home as needed.

Will you help me to relocate?

Yes! If you're based elsewhere in the U.S. (or internationally and U.S. visa eligible), we're happy to help you move to San Francisco and to cover relocation costs.
