About The Role

The Head of Product will manage a team of functional specialists rolling out microbial technologies for carbon sequestration in agriculture. This is an important management role, responsible for delivering the Loam microbial product portfolio in Australia. You will report to the Chief Product Officer and work closely with your international peers across Loam.

Responsibilities include;

  • Overseeing and implementing product validation processes in country
  • Oversee in-country extension and product launches
  • Manage regulatory compliance for product lines
  • Set and drive accountability for product budgets and projects
  • Facilitate project teams and feedback cycles to the Global Product Sciences team
  • Accountability for overall product delivery in the Australian market
  • Maintaining deep engagement with the Agricultural industry, including growers, grower groups and agribusiness

About You

You have a proven track record of product delivery for agriculture and a drive to create impact. You have strong managerial experience and are comfortable leading large teams. You have strong commercial acumen and take a rigerous approach to product development.

You have a background in the technical areas of microbiology, soil science, plant pathology or plant sciences.

  • 10+ years of experience in managing agricultural product roll-out or commercially focused R&D teams in agricultural input organisations
  • Bachelor, MSc or above in technical area related to agriculture, agronomy or plant sciences
  • Experience with management of national field trial programs for agriculture
  • Proven experience managing teams and operations
  • Demonstrated product launch experience
  • Sound commercial agronomic and farming systems implementation knowledge
  • Confidence engaging with grower audiences and grower groups
  • Confident manger with the ability to drive delivery
  • Willingness to relocate to Orange, NSW
