Who are you?

If you’re motivated by solving real problems for real people then, you’ve come to the right place!As the Chemical Industrial Engineer, reporting to the VP Materials, you will work on the development of our extrusion plant to implement, analyze, and improve processes, and equipment. You will be part of the design process for manufacturing of new Sheertex products . You will work with other Material Science engineers and team members to understand the demands, design and propose solutions. You will assist in implementing, troubleshooting, testing and reviewing plans as well as improving processes.

Responsibilities:

• Using scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to research and develop materials.
• Designing, proposing, implementing, reviewing, and correcting plans to ensure company goals are achieved.
• Observing production processes, testing, conducting research, and finding ways to increase efficiency and quality.
• Evaluation of safety procedures, equipment and ensuring Waste management procedures are compliant with regulations
• Supervising plant operations

Requirements:

• Bachelors, and preferably Masters degree(s) in a relevant field (e.g. Chemical Engineering)
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in French and English
• Strong decision making skills, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• A commercial awareness
• Previous experience in a startup in a Bonus
