Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive support to Proterra’s manufacturing team. The manufacturing project manager will be part of a team of Footprint expansion team. This individual will manage projects that support our footprint expansion plans. Some key responsibilities will include ensuring that timelines and project requirements are up to date and well defined for presentation to Proterra leadership. This individual will work cross functionally with the Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply chain to ensure that all departments understand project deliverables. This position will report to the VP of Powered Manufacturing.
About the Role – You Will:
- Coordinating with cross-functional team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Meeting with project team members to identify, resolve, escalate issues.
- Conduct and leading periodic project review meetings and preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Your Experience Includes:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, science discipline or related field required.
- Experience with process development/qualification, new product development, Capacity/Resource Planning and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while interfacing with program representatives, internal and external customers and stakeholders across the company.
- Must be willing to work extended hours in support of program needs as needed
- Elevated skill level with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio/Process Flow Diagrams, and MS Project
- Learning mindset and willingness to engage with multiple departments and interaction with many people.
- Enthusiastic and creative problem solver.
- Reliable and flexible.
- Broad understanding of Engineering and manufacturing.
