Role Description

Loam is a team of scientists, farmers, experts and entrepreneurs. We help farming businesses thrive by increasing soil carbon, soil health and enabling access to carbon markets. We develop microbial technology to remove CO2 from the atmosphere and build carbon in agricultural soils.

About the Role

As Program Manager you will be responsible for the execution of high-impact programs for Australian broadacre farmers and help implement grower services foundations that drive efficiencies and increased value to farmers partnering with Loam across Australia.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing our broadacre programs including the detailed planning and monitoring of program execution, management of project inter-dependencies and management program budgets
  • Develop and implement a good governance framework for program management.
  • Manage the delivery of projects allocated by management with particular attention to high risk, high value projects.
  • Implement and monitor strategic business plans
  • Ensure success by understanding what our partners and growers require for success
  • Manage contractors to provide additional support where needed
  • Support field days and grower engagement activities, including regular consultation with growers, agronomists and key stakeholders involved in the program throughout the season

Requirements

  • Experience in relevant roles such as a commercial agricultural program manager, marketing manager or grower services/extension manager.
  • A qualification agribusiness, agricultural sciences or a relevant area
  • Strong commercial knowledge and grower engagement skills, with an existing grower network
  • A comprehensive understanding of grain production and broadacre cropping systems
    Preferably based in Central Western NSW - remote work a possibly with some travel
