If you are a PRINCE2 or Agile certified project manager with a background in product or design engineering, our client is looking for you.

A bristol-based emerging leader in the fight against micro-pollution, Matter is a microplastics technology company focused on sustainable design and the circular economy.

Matter is working on some of the biggest challenges of our time; removing microplastics and micropollutants from waterways through brilliant design thinking, powerful partners, and an impatience to make what they do matter. Its mission is to stop micro-pollution at the source.

They need a Project Engineer with ambition and innovation to work with Engineers and Technical Leads, in a well-equipped and creative environment, ensuring projects are achieved with speed and consistency. You will regularly present to both senior leadership and clients, acting as the bridge between the Engineering and Commercial teams.

Do you have an appreciation for the environment and a passion for creating sustainable eco-conscious products that solve world problems?

Can you apply radical thinking and expert judgement to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification?

How do you know if you are the right person for this role? If you have any combination of these skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience
  • A degree at 2:1 and above or equivalent level of experience in an engineering field
  • Experience managing engineering documents (BOM, FMEA etc)
  • Proven experience in managing people and projects
  • Proven delivery of fast-paced projects
  • Ability to develop and manage gannt charts, budgets, resources, risk registers
  • Good grasp of commercial requirements for projects with the ability to quote for new projects
  • Sound engineering background
  • Experience with direct reports
  • The ability to be able to pitch ideas and present them to clients and customers
  • Demonstrated exposure to high risk, high-value problems with proof of delivery on complex and challenging solutions
