What we are looking for:

As a** Sales Associate, **you will be helping the C&I sales team from the initial customer interaction through the development of a proposal including the solution design, pricing, financial modeling, proposal support, and post sales partner support. The Sales Associate will support several outside District and Regional Managers, and are the key to making sure deals move through the sales funnel to booking as quickly as possible. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting a few key strategic partners to exceed pipeline growth and won business.

The sales team will depend on you to be an expert on the entire sales process including pricing, legal, finance, Salesforce hygiene and project management. The Sales Associate will be the critical nexus assisting sales to meet their sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist District Managers for internal deliverables from proposal inception through booking and hand-off to operations.
  • Assist in all aspects of preliminary and final proposal development, including but not limited to coordination, writing, editing, maintenance, and document assembly.
  • Take initiative! Anything a DM may need to assist in getting a deal done is fair game; researching the client, setting meetings, collecting bills, analyzing bills, preparing presentations, updating salesforce, etc.
  • Become an expert on solution design and be able to address technical questions / objections pertaining to economic modeling, savings analysis, due diligence, new markets, tariffs, pricing, etc.
  • Coordinate with Legal department (contracts, NDAs) for review and input as required
  • Be proactive and willingly learn how to use and master the tools required to help Partners incorporate energy storage into their market offerings
  • Communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders as needed and via CRM system for reporting.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to “get the deal done.”
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience in sales support, finance, or sales engineering ideally within a business to business environment.
  • Strong account management skills
  • Highly analytical, with ability to create custom models in MS Excel and work with complex logic.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required with classes/understanding of finance and accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail a MUST!
  • Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to strategize, research, and compile necessary data.
  • Experience in sales, solar, construction, design, or an engineering-related industry is a plus.
  • Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
