Role Description

Interested in parlaying your financial services expertise into a SaaS solution that helps organizations make good on their sustainability claims? Cleartrace, an Austin-based Climate Tech startup, is on a mission to help companies proactively decarbonize their energy consumption. Cleartrace allows companies to stand behind their claims of carbon reductions, sustainability, and renewable energy to prevent greenwashing and provide a source of unified, auditable truth.

We’re looking for someone with deep financial services expertise who can help us manage our key financial customers and proactively manage their engagement of Cleartrace across multiple facets of their business. The ideal candidate will have at least six to eight years of relevant financial services experience (ideally in investment banking or corporate real estate) in order to speak the language of our customers and engage them in meaningful and strategic conversations. This individual will serve as the internal customer champion at Cleartrace, engaging with a variety of functions in order to ensure we’re delivering in a timely manner and leading each customer with our pursuits. Additionally, this individual will work directly with other prospective customers, educate them, secure initial commitments, and then expand those commitments over time, similarly to how they’ll be supporting our existing customers.

Our industry is evolving very rapidly, so this role offers unlimited learning opportunities and a priceless chance to bring much needed change to an industry plagued by mistrust and fuzzy carbon accounting math.

We are based in Austin, Texas, but the role is open to the right candidate anywhere in the United States.

About the role

  • Proactively broadens and deepens our customer relationships and beyond our main contacts where we’ll have recurring meetings.
  • Continually pushes customers with opportunities to utilize the Cleartrace platform and secures commitments
  • Ensures overall customer satisfaction through utilization of the Cleartrace platform.
  • Will become a decarbonization subject matter expert.
  • Collaborates cross functionally at Cleartrace: with product, sales, marketing, customer success, and engineering.

About you

  • Financial services professional who understands the landscape of of these organizations and can speak the right language at different levels of an organization
  • You know how to relate these nuances of a financial services customer internally to various parties at Cleartrace
  • Possess a high level of “Get Things Done” mentality in order to drive progress with key accounts
  • Stellar communicator, both written and verbal, internally and externally with customers.
  • Adept at team selling and is someone who embraces the nuances of different teammates and makes everyone better in the process.
  • You thrive in fast-paced and high-stress environments while maintaining organization and focus
  • Does not shy away from engaging executives or asking for introductions and referrals in order to support expansion opportunities.
  • Willing to travel for key prospect or customer meetings.

Bonus

  • You have at least some knowledge of the energy and sustainability industries
  • You have experience selling enterprise software/SaaS related products
