Sentient Energy in Milpitas, CA is hiring for a **Senior Electronics Technician **capable of upgrading electronic equipment.  This role will be required to troubleshoot and upgrade Sentient products. Needs to be capable of conducting root cause analysis (RCAs) on new NPI PCBAs, systems and returned products from the field. Strong troubleshooting skills and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Test and implement electrical systems and products based on specifications
• Follow Engineering’s directions on trouble shooting defective products
• Read and understand product documentation and specifications
• Conduct FA on new products or products returned from the field
• Repair and maintain Sentient products as needed
• Analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
• Electro-Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand wiring diagrams and schematics
• Maintain lab organization and general cleanliness
• Mechanical skills necessary for assembly of test fixtures, cable harnesses, and engineering prototypes are desirable

Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient with using tools such as soldering equipment
• Proficient with using hand tools

What Will Put You Ahead

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electronics technology or a related field
• Basic understanding of test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and function generators
• Utility experience
• Industry certifications
