Job Description:

This is an opportunity to join an Arizona based renewables technology company. We are looking for a team member to join our field operations and customer success team. This role serves two functions. First, you will participate in the build out of the preliminary field installations of SOURCE products. You will have the opportunity to learn our install process in the local Scottsdale office and once trained will be responsible for leading installation and servicing efforts in the US. Regional Field Technicians perform commissioning, performance testing, preventive maintenance, repairs, equipment modifications, and troubleshooting for SOURCE Hydropanels at various site locations. It is important that you are a creative problem solver and who is good at thinking on your feet. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with general construction techniques, project management and local codes. Specific experience in the areas of plumbing, roofing, DC power and photovoltaics, as well as kitchen construction are desired. Excellent organizational and communication skills are required. Strong back-office capabilities with Internet, Microsoft and Windows applications preferred.

Required Qualifications:

  • Visit build sites and assess any location and costs for materials, equipment, labor, comms, and project time estimates.
  • Conduct installation of technical solutions following predefined procedures and tasks in everyday activities.
  • Escalate technical issues to more senior level technical specialists.
  • Communicate, take images, and detailed notes to share findings with the Quality Team.
  • Perform troubleshooting, parts replacement, system upgrades and deployments.
  • Establish and build positive customer relationships and assure complete customer satisfaction at the assigned accounts by adherence to the following: prompt onsite arrival time, technical expertise, knowledge of customer environment, professionalism, and periodic visits as needed.
  • Perform part replacements as directed by the technical Network Operations Center. This includes the timely and accurate submission of all associated documentation, part return within 24 hours of the event.
  • Present estimates, project evaluation and site survey studies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability communicate effectively up, down and laterally across all departmental borders.
  • Work efficiently with all involved parties in the project while maintaining open communications.
  • Coordination with specialty contractors as needed.
  • Test, Analyze, and Repair issues in SOURCE panels.
  • Coordinate on-site project planning, installations, commissioning, quality inspections, and performance testing of those facilities.
  • Perform moderately complex but repetitive testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Use, maintain, and secure test devices and tools used to adjust, calibrate, and repair equipment.
  • Ensure that service commitments are met within expected response time.
  • Manage tool and spares inventory and coordinate with logistics to restock as necessary.
  • Complete required paperwork - time sheets, service orders, forms, inventory, expense reports, and equipment related items.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Experience and comfort working at heights above 40 ft.
  • Aptitude for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and roofing concepts
  • Maintain a high work-rate for an extended day, on occasion up to 12 hours.
  • High level of professionalism and a positive demeanor.
  • Job requires periodic travel domestically.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating and coordinating responses to field service tickets.
  • Adhere to departmental procedures and safety requirements (OSHA, HSE, NFPA 70E, etc.)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must have consistent and reliable means of transportation.
  • B.A./B.S. in Construction Science, engineering or similar preferred with 5+ consecutive years of experience in general construction, plumbing, solar PV, solar thermal, project management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Some degree of experience with DC voltage in relationship to Photovoltaic power generation.
  • Mechanical, electrical engineering and wireless communications experience and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot communications (typically TCP/IP and GSM/LTE).
  • Ability to work well with subcontracted Construction personnel in resolution of issues.
  • Adequate computer skills required (particularly MS Office suite of products).
  • Clean DMV printout and valid DL required.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Frequently lift 50+lbs, ability to pull, and push materials and equipment. Climbing ladders, stairs, and working on rooftops in adverse weather conditions are all essential functions of this job.

The Detail:

Position available is for Full Time Salaried Employment with Benefits located in the Dubai, UAE. Commercial hours vary depending on the job and location. Overnight travel may be required. Drug Tests, Background Checks and MVD reports will be performed on all final candidates. Employment eligibility verified through E-Verify. Competitive compensation based on experience.
