Role Overview

The Senior Production Engineer will act as a project manager and will report to the Head of Manufacturing and support the Accountable Manager to get the Production Organisation Approval (POA) to our company. The continuous monitoring of the POA, identification of gaps and corrective actions, as well as the continuous improvement for the certification will also be among your main activities.

You will also have the responsibilities for keeping the Manufacturing Team aligned with the Design Organisation Team and the Independent System Monitoring (ISM), to certify that the POA and DOA are always linked during its whole process: implementation and maintenance.

In addition to the Production Organisation Exposition (POE), you will create and implement procedures to guide our company to be compliant with EASA and Transportstyrelsen regarding aerospace industry obligations.

Providing guidance through explanation of policies, authorities regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance to requirements is also an essential part for this role as well as to align relevant process issues and risks with Operations Managers.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an aerospace company environment.
  • Experience working in an EASA Part 21G Production Organisation, or international equivalent.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality. Always supporting Production.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English.
  • Eagerness to work with others.
  • Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission

The ideal candidate would have

  • Experience working in an aerospace start-up environment.
  • Formal qualification in Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with Transportstyrelsen for POA certification.
  • Experience with aircraft development programs through the entire design, development & certification lifecycle (EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).
  • Experience of developing, implementing and continuously improving an AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems including configuration and change management.
  • Experience in Production environment including initial and recurring audits.
  • Technical background would be a plus.
