What we are looking for:

**As a Sr Sales Associate, **you will help the Strategic Accounts sales team with customer acquisition from the initial customer interaction through the development of a proposal and contracting. This will include the solution design, pricing, and financial modeling of the project. You will support several outside Account Executives to assist in moving deals through the sales process to contract signature. The sales team will expect you to develop a strong financial modeler with excel expertise, an understanding of electric markets, knowledge of technical hardware specifications, and strong grasp on energy storage’s value prop. You will also be responsible for sourcing and managing a limited number of customer accounts. This role is a fantastic opportunity to participate in and understand all parts of large project strategic sales with high growth potentially in the exciting and high growth clean energy industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as the main point of contact with several outside Account Executives for all internal deliverables from proposal inception through booking and hand-off to operations.
  • Take initiative! Sales cycles will require proactive resourcefulness that includes researching the client, setting meetings, collecting & analyzing billing data, preparing presentations, updating salesforce, etc.
  • Become an expert on solution design and be able to address technical questions / objections pertaining to economic modeling, savings analysis, due diligence, new markets, tariffs, pricing, etc.
  • Be a brainstorming partner with Account Executives to discuss deal and account strategies on a regular basis
  • Work with clients to understand their business needs, then leverage your creative problem-solving skills and work with cross functional teams to build out the business case for discreet projects / opportunities.
  • Manage aspects of preliminary and final proposal development, including but not limited to coordination, writing, editing, maintenance, and document assembly.
  • Be able to drive customer meetings, calls and other events on behalf of the Account Executives they support when requested.
  • Coordinate with Legal department (contracts, NDAs) for review and input as required.
  • Be proactive and willingly learn how to use and master the tools required to help Partners incorporate energy storage into their market offerings.
  • Communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders as needed and via CRM system for reporting.

Requirements:

  • Positive attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to “get the deal done.”
  • Highly analytical, with ability to create custom models in MS Excel and work with complex logic.
  • Ability to think outside the box and understand how solutions can be transferred between different situations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of related experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to strategize, research, and compile necessary data.
  • Experience with SalesForce a plus

Job Location
This position will be located in Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA.
