We are seeking an extremely motivated individual to lead the design and integration of our charging systems. Key attributes will be exceeding expectations, flexibility in performing tasks, a commitment to organization and documentation, and enthusiasm to do what it takes to get the job done.

As a Senior Battery Pack/Module Design Engineer, you will:

  • Design a state-of-the-art Battery Pack/Module for EV charging systems with emphasis on battery cooling and water proofing and Safety including architecture, requirements definition, component selection, integration, and test
  • Evaluate, select and collaborate with third party manufacturing organizations to establish a reliable and cost-effective module supply chain
  • Design Battery Pack/Module Bus Bar and interconnect cabling to carry large currents for fast charging electric vehicles
  • Drive product and process improvements
  • Work with a cross-functional team to ensure design objectives are met
  • Develop and execute tests for Battery Pack/Module assemblies, components, and systems
  • Create block diagrams, initial mechanical design, and schematics for Battery Pack/Module systems
  • Integrate Battery Pack/Module into a larger battery pack and charging systems

The ideal candidate will have these experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering
  • 5+ years designing, building, and testing Battery Pack/Module systems
  • 5+ years Li-Ion based Cells and Packs/Modules
  • selecting off the shelf battery and Battery Pack/Module components
  • developing requirements/datasheets for custom components
  • battery management systems (BMS) and developing BMS profiles
  • high-voltage and high-power designs
  • A problem-solving mentality demonstrating curiosity and initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
