Role Description

About River

River is an electric vehicle startup building multi-utility scooters. The company builds products ground up with a strong focus on design and engineering. Currently, the company is in the product development stage with prototypes being tested on the road. The vehicle will go on sale on Sep-22. River is backed by marquee international investors - Israel based Maniv mobility and US based Trucks VC. These are mobility focussed funds backed by some of the big names in the automotive industry. River is founded by experienced automotive professionals - Vipin George is ex-Lead Designer at Honda, Ultraviolette and Aravind Mani is ex-VP at Ultraviolette, an EV startup backed by TVS Motors. River is a fast growing company with an R&D team of 60 engineers now. The company targets to be 250-300 employees by the end of 2022.

Requirement

  1. Experience : <4 years
  2. Skill-set : Embedded design validation, Lithium battery, BMS, Automotive validation
  3. Education : Bachelors/Masters in Engineering, Hands-on engineering

Role

  1. Create validation plans and own validation activities for electrical components on the vehicle
  2. Provide feedback at various stages of design of vehicle components
  3. Create a structured validation process and prioritize tests based on program timeline
  4. Understand problems across multiple engineering domains pertinent to component
  5. Ability to take risks, devise innovative ways to test a product
  6. Understand and apply theoretical concepts accurately in solving a problem
  7. Run FMEA discussion sessions along with engineering
  8. Build DVP and plan for test activities for various iterations of the product
  9. Utilize a combination of simulation and physical testing to provide rapid feedback to program and product
  10. Perform RCA of electronic component failures and provide feedback to design / mitigation strategies
