Role Description

The Company

Boundary Layer Technologies is building the future of zero emission maritime transport, starting with hydrofoiling electric passenger vessels. We are backed by Y Combinator, Fifty Years VC and Lower Carbon Capital and have built a world leading 26' fully electric hydrofoil prototype. We are a company of builders where rapid iterations and fast learning is in our DNA. We aim to reduce global GHG emissions by as much as 2.5%

Boundary Layer Technologies is looking for a workshop manager to oversee facility operations and prototype construction.

Responsibilities

- Maintain the workshop space and machines/equipment
- Oversee construction/build of new prototypes and vehicles
- Maintain existing prototypes and vehicles for testing and demonstrations
- Work closely with engineering team on design for manufacturing with our resources
- Develop workshop resources and facilitate bringing in new equipment

Required Skills and Experience

- 1-2+ years experience maintaining a workshop-type space
- Experience reading/understanding technical drawings
- Experience operating machinery (lathes, mills, CNC equipment)
- Experience operating equipment (forklifts, trucks)
- Experience with high voltage systems and safety
