ZeroAvia is a leader in zero-emission aviation, flying the world’s largest hydrogen-electric aircraft since September 2020. Its focus is the design and commercialization of hydrogen-powered aviation solutions to address a variety of markets, initially targeting short-haul, sub-regional commercial flights up to 500 miles.
To date, ZeroAvia has secured the UK CAA and FAA experimental permit to fly for its 6 seat aircraft powered by hydrogen-electric powertrain, passed significant flight tests, and is on track for commercial deliveries by 2024.
Its achievements to date were rewarded by the UK prime minister by inviting ZeroAvia as a member to the UK Jet Zero Council.
ZeroAvia’s powertrain development focuses on integrating hydrogen storage tanks, fuel cell systems, and electric motors, delivering a solution that will be not only without carbon emissions but also cheaper to operate.
Hybrid role with Kemble or London being key locations in the UK or Seattle in the USA
The candidate is expected to:
- Work as part of the senior leadership team, leading our People team globally
- Design, develop and implement the People strategy in line with the budget and group business plan
- Create, roll out and manage all strategic and motivational people programmes
- Lead and deliver on key strategic People team projects, including global mobility, employee engagement, hybrid working models, organisation development & design, learning and development, compensation, employee surveys, change management and global People Operations initiatives
- Lead organisational change and the creation and implementation of strategic People policies and programmes
- Be able to inspire confidence in the CEO and senior team through timely delivery of information and plans
- Be able to provide People support, coaching and guidance across both operational and strategic issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach
- Partner with line managers to understand and support the career development of colleagues
- Maintain an overview of ongoing learning and development initiatives and create a strategy to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding teams
- Lead a compensation strategy review and implement practices that enable high performing organisations
- Review our current performance management approach and create a strategy in line with the growth plans
- Deploy a global leadership development programme
- Create strategic roadmap and implement key tools and systems to run People Operations
Qualifications
- Experience of working as a head of People in a technology company with multi-location footprint
- 10+ years of People leadership role, managing global teams
- Experience with scale up, VC funded, business
- Experience with building diversity and inclusion programmes
- Aviation experience is not necessary just a passion for making the world a better place
