Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive HR administrative support to Proterra’s Human Resources Department. You will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resources department. This position will report to the reports to Manager, Human Resources and collaborate with other HR team members located at our headquarters in Burlingame, CA and other manufacturing facilities in Los Angeles, CA and Greenville, SC.
About the Role – You will:
- Provides HR support to 2nd shift employees (2pm – 11:30pm) with flexibility to work 1st shift
- Supports the HR Manager and Generalist with administrative tasks
- Complete I9 and E-Verifications
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR files, records and documentation in HRIS
- Answers frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring process, etc.; Refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and maintained appropriately
- Assists with new hire orientation
- Assist with simple employee relation matters
- Create Spreadsheets using various HR data
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, retirement celebrations, etc.
- Other duties as assigned by management

Your Experience Includes:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in related field preferred or equivalent relevant experience
- Prior related administrative experience
- 1+ years’ experience in human resources preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Prior experience or exposure to HRIS systems is a plus
