In this full-time role, the responsibilities include identifying current and future hiring needs, advertising job openings online, designing employee referral programs, establishing relationships with universities that will be sources of talent, and directly recruiting and hiring team members critical to the success of our company. To be successful in this role, you must have experience in sourcing, interviewing, evaluating, and hiring candidates. You need to have a vibrant and outgoing personality with fantastic communication and marketing skills to market the benefits of talented candidates joining our team to help prevent fires, protect homes and families and save lives. We need the best of the best to achieve our mission. You should have experience in IT and engineering recruiting as engineers will be the majority of hires to our team, but we will also build out diverse functions across the company. Ultimately, you will help us deliver on our mission and promise and build a strong brand to ensure we provide a positive candidate experience.

The Internal Recruiter will report to the Chief Financial Offer. You’ll be joining a small and experienced team of business leaders, software engineers, and data scientists seeking to make the world a safer and more efficient place. Come join us!

**Job Duties **

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write job ads for current openings
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Establish relationships with universities for recruitment of college graduates
  • Source candidates through online and other channels (e.g. professional networks and portfolio sites)
  • Screen resumes and applications and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, first-round and second-round interviews
  • Report to hiring managers on the status of open positions
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assignment performance
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position with hiring manager
  • Analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs
  • Update job descriptions (e.g. add tasks or modify requirements)
  • Answer candidates’ queries regarding the application process
  • Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
  • Participate in job fairs to boost company’s reputation
  • Help new hires onboard

Required Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter or Recruiter in IT Recruiter or similar role
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience using various interview formats (e.g. phone, structured, group)
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centers (e.g. job simulation activities, work samples, psychometric and IQ/EQ tests)
  • Strong marketing and sales skills to communicate effectively to candidates and close on hiring strong candidates to join our team.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree
  • 2+ years of Recruiter experience
  • Travel as needed
  • US Citizen
