We are an energy technology company going after an emerging $100B market opportunity. AMPLY is seeking a QA Engineer to help us ensure that our software is rock-solid and user-focused. As a pioneering QA Engineer on our team, you would be laying the foundation for solid QA best practices, test strategies, optimal manual/automated test execution, and consistent/predictable quality metrics release-over-release. This is a full-time paid position based at our HQ office in Mountain View, CA (hybrid office culture, local applicants, and out-of-state applicants welcome).

Responsibilities

• Provide domain expertise and leadership to the Amply software quality assurance area.
• Lead an effective analysis of product features for application under test, identify scenarios, test execution, defect reporting, triage, and validation bug fixes.
• Ensure all non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, usability, etc. are met.
• Correlate test data to fleet-level requirements to ensure all vehicle charging systems meet targets and acceptance criteria.
• Ability to execute automation scripts and analyze the test results to identify the issues.
• Report deficits through troubleshooting, identify a potential root cause, and clearly record the reproduction steps to shorten a bug fix turnaround time.
• Work closely with developers in the agile environment to manage and monitor the ticket to accelerate ticket lifecycle.
• Evaluate available tools, technology, and tools utilization & integration to conduct a feasible study.
• Design and develop test cases for new requirements to the product. Create and manage test epics, user stories, tickets, and defects for sprints.
• Represent the quality department of the company in front of customers. Prepare and deliver presentations related to product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science minimum in a relevant science or engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years relevant QA experience working with cloud hosted platforms, RESTful APIs, and complex user interfaces.
• Experience in test automation in Web-UI is a plus: Selenium, Java, Python
• Familiarity with containerized services hosted on AWS.
• Excellent problem solving skills and strong communication skill with dev, sales teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet commitments.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and containerized services hosted on AWS.
• Eager to learn and learn fast, enjoy a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, work with teams, and the ability to multi-task on multiple products and projects.

Additional Awesomeness:

• Strong function testing background, knowledge on EV charging, energy area is a plus.

AMPLY is redefining the EV charging market for private and public fleets, including autonomous driving fleets, transit bus agencies, municipal, and private fleets.
