Position Overview
This position will provide comprehensive supervisory support to Proterra’s quality department. The Quality Supervisor will train quality auditors on quality standards, inspection techniques and requirements. This candidate will follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies, conduct Team Safety Talks/Single Points, review issues from previous shifts and communicate quality issues with product to QC Manager, QC Auditors and Area Team Leader / Supervisor.
About the Role – You Will:
- Perform start up meeting to ensure everyone is present, on time, and quality support is available for all areas.
- Attend production meetings and ensure issues are communicated.
- Audit quality boards/tv’s (quality alerts, QID’s) in press / assembly daily, and ensure they are updated with quality issues.
- Audit quality paperwork for accuracy/completeness, daily.
- Ensure vehicle inspections are accurate and being completed in a timely manner.
- Complete inspections when necessary based on business needs.
- Verify internal and external quality alert countermeasures are being followed.
- Interface with engineering and quality to resolve quality concerns.
- Perform process audit to Control Plan and Inspection Instruction requirements.
- Perform Layered Process Audits as required per audit schedule. Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System in applicable areas of responsibility.
- Provide detailed pass down to Quality Supervisors and Quality management to communicate shift concerns.
- Ensure Performance Appraisals are complete to schedule.
- Promote good housekeeping keeping 5s requirements.
- Train quality auditors on quality standards, inspection techniques and requirements.

Your Experience Includes
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or five plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience i.e. Associate Degree and 4 years supervisor experience.
- Computer Skills: proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of precision measuring equipment
- Root cause analysis tool understanding, 8D, Six Sigma 5 why’s etc.
- Managerial or supervisory experience, optional but preferred.
